Mushrooms and Babies

My husband is taking the day off today. His plans are to take Big J and go mushroom hunting and fishing. I hate mushrooms (I guess they are called "morels" to the more knowledgeable folks). Ick, Blech, GAG. I just about can't even stand to look at them once he brings them in the house. GROSS. But I know my son will absolutely LOVE being with his Dad no matter what they do. I thought about going, but I know the reality is right now . . . I will chase my Little L all over the place the entire day. The place where they go is about 2 hours away from home. There is a pond. (aka Danger Zone) Sooooo, I will stay home with my pumpkin boy for today.

We are still waiting for my sister to have her baby. She is healthy and has everything ready, but the waiting is making her anxious, of course. Her official due date is this weekend. Anything could happen. I gave her my first bin of newborn baby clothes about 3 months ago after they found out they were having a boy. I cried. It was the first time I gave clothes away and I knew that I was doing it because we weren't expecting to have more children. The funny thing was that during my crying over the clothes . . . my two children were in the same room jumping on the bed, yelling and screaming. (So I'm going "boo hoo, boo hoo . . . . BE QUIET KIDS!") haha. It was a funny moment for me.
