At exactly 11:50 a.m. on Saturday I ran through the house to find him because I wanted to hold him and remember that special time 2 years ago when he was born! Only this time he didn't want me to hold him . . . . he wanted down . . . he wanted Daddy! Could it be that he really is TWO YEARS OLD? The cuddling will slowly ease it's way out of my life? I shed a few tears . . . time ticks away. Some of my friends say "hey, it's time to have another baby!" I'm not so sure that's the right answer for us at this time. I mean, yes, that would be sweet to hold another bundle of joy!! If God wants us to have another one, then we will. But for now, we don't feel that special pull in that direction. I will just enjoy my precious two boys and savor every moment that I can. I really truly honestly cannot believe how time goes so quickly. You hear other people say this, but until you experience it yourself, you just don't "get it".
On Friday, my husband and I were eating lunch at a nearby park with the kids. It was a park that we used to eat at on our lunch breaks when we were BOTH working career people (before kids were in the picture). We had a moment of nostalgia. It was odd! It was funny for us. It actually just felt like "yesterday". But yet it was more than 6 years ago! Where does the time go?

Happy birthday to your adorable little/big boy! I love your perspective! I recently thought too, about when it was just my husband and I and although it was a wonderful time...what I have right now is what I looked forward too then. Even though my life is so crazy at the moment...I wouldn't trade it for all the quiet and peaceful moments in the world!
